Man held after mailing HIV-tainted blood to Obama
The criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court in Illinois alleges that Hussein "knowingly mailed" the letters containing HIV-infected blood "with the intent to kill or injure another."nspector Peter Rendina said this is the second known case in which a person is alleged to have sent HIV-tainted blood through the mail for malicious reasons. In the other case, which is ongoing, a man sent blood to a person he thought was a business associate.

Obama submits first budget blueprint
President Obama today presented a budget that he says is an "honest accounting of where we are and where we intend to go." Obama outlined the top priorities of his budget in his address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday. Congress received a 140-page summary of the budget this morning. Plane crashes on landing at Schiphol
AMSTERDAM -- Dutch media report that a Turkish plane crashed on landing at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport and broke into three pieces. There was no immediate word on casualties.
Airport police spokesman Rob Stenacker told The Associated Press emergency services were responding to a reported crash Wednesday but could give no further details.

World Cup tickets go on sale
The first phase of the ticket sales process for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa began on Friday.
Prices range from £14 (US$20) for the lowest category first-round matches to over £600 (US$900) for the final at Johannesburg's Soccer City Stadium.

The cartoon refers to a chimpanzee named Travis who was killed Monday by police in Stamford, Conn., after it mauled a friend of its owner."How could the Post let this cartoon pass as satire?" said Barbara Ciara, president of the National Association of Black Journalists. Hu in Tanzania for state visit
Chinese President Hu Jintao arrived in the Tanzanian capital of Dar es Salaam Saturday night for a state visit to the eastern African nation."It can be viewed as an exemplary relationship of sincerity, solidarity and cooperation between China and an African country and between two developing countries," Hu said.During his stay here, Hu will also meet with Zanzibar President Amani Abeid Karume, attend the completion ceremony of Tanzania's state stadium, visit a cemetery for Chinese experts, and deliver a key-note speech at a welcoming meeting on Monday.
